5 Corners Lions Club

27-A2

The 5 Corners Lions Club was chartered in 1997, is the first co-ed Lions Club in District 27-A2 and the only community-based non-profit organization in the Town of Cedarburg. We are very proud to celebrate our 15th Anniversary this year. Regular Club meetings take place at 7:00 p.m. on the third Monday of each month at Roadhouse Bar &Grill at 5 Corners in Cedarburg.

Our activities include service projects such as roadside clean-up along Wauwatosa Road in the Town of Cedarburg and Cookies with Santa held at the Town Hall each December. We also participate in other community projects as they arise. For example, this past fall we supported a local Boy Scout by providing both financial and physical help with the construction of his Eagle Scout project, a concession stand at the Fields at Five Corners, which is part of the Town’s Recreation Department.  As the sole managers of this new building during activities at the fields, every hot dog, snack or soda you purchase will help support our Club and our causes!

Fundraising efforts include an annual nut sale, selling concessions in our new concession stand and this poker run. Further, we emphasize the “fun” in fundraising.

Who benefits from our fundraising efforts? Past beneficiaries include Vision Forward, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Wisconsin Lions Camp for youth who are blind, deaf or diabetic, the Cedarburg Community Scholarship Fund, Town of Cedarburg Little League, and other local and national charitable organizations and causes.

We are always looking for new members. We invite you to attend any of our monthly Club meetings. The rewards of becoming involved are outstanding. Fellowships, a sense of accomplishment, knowledge of having helped others, and giving of one’s self are all benefits of your involvement.

OUR CLUB THANKS YOU FOR PARTICIPATING IN OUR 2012 COUNTRY ROADS POKER RUN!
